Performances

Zulaika brings the joyous and rich dance
traditions of the Arab world to life!

Her performances take you on a fascinating
tour of the Middle East through its colorful and
varied dance traditions including Egypt’s Raqs
Assaya (cane dance) and Shamadan (candelabra
dance), Tunisia’s Raqs al-Jazur (dance of the
islands), Saudi Arabia’s Khaleegy (gulf dance),
and the classical woman’s solo dance Raqs
Sharki (dance of the East, or Belly Dance).
